PML MEMBER NOTICE – PG&E Project Information and Schedule Update

POSTED: January 28, 2026.

  • The PG&E project has expanded to 8 crews.
  • Crews are continuing with Wildfire Hardening of power lines in the area.
  • PG&E is installing new service poles that include new coated wire specific for use in wildfire hardening.  The existing service poles and wires will be removed with the installation of new power poles and wires.
  • PG&E and their contractors will continue to use signage and provide traffic control during one lane operations.
  • PG&E is continuing to install transformers and this portion of the project is almost complete.
  • New underground electrical wire is in place and is being energized.
  • PG&E will send in their own lineman in to finish up the electrical connections. When all the electrical work is completed, PG&E will come back through and remove their overhead lines leaving existing utility lines for telephone and internet service.
  • Excavation and boring work are expected to continue through April.
  • Electrical line work is expected to continue until the end of May or early June.
  • PG&E anticipates both projects to be concluded by June.
