Pine Mountain Lake Marina

Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.

No pets allowed on the beach.

The marina is a great place to go because there is the lake, the Marina Store and the Lakeside Café. There is a large grassy area with picnic tables and barbeques. There is also a sandy beach area that is perfect for building sandcastles or nestling your toes in the sand. There is a roped off area that is designed for swim. If you’re looking for an activity you can rent various boats such as peddle boat, family cruiser, fishing boat, standup paddle board, or a kayak. There is also a volleyball and bocce ball court. Best of all there is food. The Lakeside Café has snacks, meals, soda, milkshakes, iced coffee and soft serve ice cream.

For the safety of everyone, please note that children under the age of 14 years of age must be accompanied and monitored by an adult at least 18 years of age.

Weekend and Holiday Parking

Per Weekend & Holiday Parking at the PML Marina- Resolution 03.01 only property owners with current property owner sticker and PMLA employees that are on duty will be allowed to park at the Marina on weekends and holidays from May 1st until September 10th. This restriction is extended to the Friday before holiday weekends (e.g., Memorial Day, Independence Day observation and Labor Day).Property owners may be required to provide a valid PML property owner card for identification purposes.

If a car has a hang tag, instead of the sticker, the property owner will be asked to show their property owner card for identification purposes. This is a requirement for admission on weekends and holidays.

Please note: from Memorial weekend until Labor Day there is no trailer parking permitted.

 

LAKE

The lake is open for fishing, boating and swimming (in designated swim areas) from 6 am until 10 pm.

You must have a fishing license to fish on Pine Mountain Lake.

May 1st is the first day property owner boats can be put on the lake. If you are a renter or guest, please be aware that your personal vessel cannot be used on PML Lake. However, you can rent a boat during your stay, see the Marina Store section for more details.

Boats must be removed from the lake by October 31st.

Please take the time to read, know and follow the PML Boating and Lake Rules- Resolution 05.01.

If you or your passengers intend to swim in the lake in accordance with the Open Water Swim Policy- Resolution 00.06, you’re required to sign and submit this form to the Marina Store- Lake Swim Waiver.

 

MARINA STORE

 The Marina Store will be training from May 1st until opening. It will be open from 8am until 5pm. The official opening is Friday, May 24th with hours of operation from 7am until 7pm.

The Marina Store sells fishing licenses, fishing poles and bait, sunglasses, sunscreen, floaties, clothes, drinks, snacks, candy, ice and PML souvenirs. It also offers other services such as boat rentals 2024 Boat Rental Fees.

During business hours, the Marina Store sells gas from the gas dock for PML registered boats.

A Marina Attendant can assist property owners with boat registration; or, the property owner can register online and the Marina Staff will process it, click link below

They are also there to help answer questions, take boat reservations, water-ski sign ups and assist with overnight docking ($40 per night) and cruises ($95 per hour).

 

There is even a water taxi to take you around the lake - FOR FREE. This is the perfect solution to avoid the crowded parking lot at the Marina. Park your car at Fisherman’s Cove, Dunn Court or the Lake Lodge and ride a 20-passenger water taxi to the Marina.

Daily Hours of operation are from 10 am until 6 pm starting Memorial Weekend. You can catch the water taxi from the dock at this time:

PML Lake Cruise

Hours of operation are from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Enjoy a relaxing lake cruise on beautiful Pine Mountain Lake. Maximum capacity is up to 16 adults. You can bring your own refreshments. Charter the boat for your own group. Only $95 for 1 hour cruise. This service is not available after Labor Day.

 

LAKESIDE CAFE

The Lakeside Café is open from May 24th through September 2th

Hours of operation: Sunday through Thursday 11 am - 6pm

Friday & Saturday 11 am - 7 pm

The Lakeside Café has an old timey feel with a walk up order window and a delicious menu.

 

ONLINE SERVICES FOR PROPERTY OWNERS

Property owners may register their boats online using this link 2024 PML Boat Registration. The boat registration stickers are good from January 1st through December 31st.

Boat Registration Procedure

To register your boat for Pine Mountain Lake:

  • You must be a property owner in PMLA and
  • The property owner must have their name on the DMV title/registration

All watercraft must be registered with Pine Mountain Lake Association before putting it on the lake. This includes: canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, pedal boats, float tubes, windsurfers, rowboats, and electric boats.

Power boats larger that 26’ will not be allowed on Pine Mountain Lake, and patio boats will not exceed the length of 29’.

Non-property owner boats prohibited on the lake.

 

Wait Lists

For any property owner wanting to be added to the wait list for a kayak rack, please click on Small Watercraft Wait List link below and submit your information.

Small Watercraft Wait List

 

If you’d like to be added to the boat or beach slip wait lists, then please click on the Boat Berth Wait List link below and submit your information. In 2023 the Board adopted Resolution 23.02- Boat Berth Waitlist and Transfer Policy. There is a one-time $350 fee to be added to a boat wait list. This fee is non-refundable: $50 is an administrative fee and $300 is applicable to the first season (or seasons) docking fee.

Pontoon Boat Exception:

An enrollment on the pontoon boat beach space wait list shall also enable the individual to enroll (should they choose) on the marina pontoon boat berth wait list, and, vice versa, enrollment on the marina  pontoon boat berth wait list shall also enable the individual to enroll (should they so choose) on the pontoon boat beach space wait list, for no additional fee.

 

The Recreation and Seasonal Operation Manager will respond to your submission and collect the fee(s) when you have been added to the waitlists(s) via email to confirm you've been added to the wait list(s).

FISH PLANT

Pine Mountain Lake plants 2,000 lbs. of rainbow trout in the lake one time per year. The plant is scheduled for mid-May each year.

The link below is a brochure called “Your Lake & You.” It was prepared by the North American Lake Management Society. 
We are providing this information as an educational resource for PML members. It should be noted; on page 8 of the brochure, there is a sidebar discussion on the potential impact of fireworks. Most of the chemicals mentioned have been tested for extensively on our lake. None have been detected at levels that indicate any problems. In fact, most of those chemicals were hundreds of times lower than the strictest standards set my state and federal agencies.
